SOMA is a Tri-City band performing metal fusion, which balances on the border of such genres as sludge and mathcore, while drawing fully on jazz and broadly progressive music styles. Soma’s musicians are not afraid to experiment with both composition and sound, combining the heaviness and energy of metal music with the harmony and expression characteristic of jazz.
The band released the enthusiastically received “Locker Room” in 2024, and spent the entire year touring extensively. Among others, they performed alongside such bands as Cynic, Persefone, Georgia, Venom and many others.
