The Great Old Ones is a French black metal band inspired by the mythology of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft. Their music is distinguished by a dark, atmospheric and mesmerizing aura that perfectly captures the disturbing atmosphere of Lovecraft’s work. Their compositions often feature long, instrumental passages that build tension and atmosphere interspersed with blast beat-filled, intense moments. After releasing five studio albums, the French are not stopping, planning the release of their new album “Kadath” for January 24, 2025.
