Masta Ace

Masta Ace is a recognized and respected hip-hop artist whose career began in the 1980s. Masta Ace debuted in 1988 on Marley Marl’s compilation “The Symphony,” where he performed alongside other legendary rappers. His albums, such as “Take a Look Around” (1990), “SlaughtaHouse” (1993), and “Sittin’ on Chrome” (1995), earned him acclaim for their innovative sounds and thoughtful lyrics. One of his most influential works is “Disposable Arts” (2001), a concept album that tells the story of returning home after being released from prison. His later works, including “A Long Hot Summer” (2004) and collaborations with producer Marco Polo on the albums “A Breukelen Story” (2018) and “Richmond Hill” (2024), continue the tradition of delivering thoughtful and reflective lyrics, which are a hallmark of Masta Ace.
